If your alarm is battery powered and is not functioning correctly, please check that whether the batteries require replacement before reporting your issue. The replacement of alarm batteries is an occupier’s responsibility. If the fault continues, please report this to us using this system.

Remove the unit and batteries, it is the tenant’s responsibility to change batteries in smoke alarms – if still going off contact us.

If your alarm is going off this could indicate carbon monoxide is present and you should therefore turn off all associated appliances (such as hob, fire, boiler etc), open all windows and doors and evacuate the property. Call the National Grid on 0800 111999 immediately and follow their instructions, then let us know by reporting it on this system and by telephone.
